Hi Paul,

Once you are living on an airpark, you'd rather give up indoor plumbing than 
to give up your runway!  Florida is a great place to be looking. There are 
lots of choices. We have a vacation place at Kittyhawk Airpark (FL09) in 
Live Oak, Florida. Our main house is at Dogwood Airpark (VA42) in 
Fredericksburg, Virginia. Airpark living is great! You'll like it. Many of 
the airparks have grass runways. Most Lancair pilots avoid grass strips. We 
don't. We've been operating our 320 out of grass for 1300 hours, never had a 
problem. We intend to operate our IV out of grass also. You do need to 
utilize soft field techniques. Contact us if you'd like to discuss our 
procedures.

The only thing better than a wife who will fly with you, is having a wife 
who you can fly with. Sue is a retired 777 captain and does a superb job 
flying our Lancair. We've flown everywhere together in our 320, Mexico (4 
times), Bahamas, Central America, Greenland, Iceland, England, Germany... 
even Cleveland! We're looking forward to flying the IV around the world 
together.
