I, a Lancair Avionics customer, was one that asked D2A for and received (no charge) an installation kit, including instructions, connector and the remote-mounted equipment. D2A was insistent that I send in the 425 before they send the Pinpoint, which I finally did. That same week they sent me the Pinpoint, which I installed successfully. There were minor software issues, which were almost completely resolved by 12-21, when I left on vacation. Everything seems to work perfectly except that somehow the latest Chelton (or is it D2A) software, rev 6.0A9, doesn't display the glide radius on the screen - a feature I really miss. I'll have to find out who to talk to about that.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how many Pinpoint ADAHRS/GADAHRS D2 actually delivered? And how many of these involved trading in a Crossbow 425EX? (I'm assuming D2 wouldn't have delivered a Pinpoint gratis unless it was to replace a 425.) Also out of curiosity, what became of the 425s that were traded in? Tom Gourley
