It was a rather entertaining combination to watch as it spun faster than Patty Wagsstaff at her best. The folks at D2 were always approachable during the search for a solution which in the end became the Pinpoint GADAHRS. I prewired for that unit as D2 did their early testing, and I installed it as soon as I had it in my hot little hands. There were a few software mods and one hardware change as the system evolved from good to really great. All that time D2 kept in touch either informing me about their changes or asking about my experiences. They sent out written questionaires and they followed up with phone calls until days before they closed their doors. =20 At this point I have a system that works well mechanically and my only concern is about software updates. I still need to set the compressibility but other than that we are good for flight. The features built into the Pinpoint hardware makes it more capable that the Crossbow would have been, had they ever been able to make it work reliably. =20 The Chelton Sport is not TSO'd and therefore should not be used for life support - only as a sophisticated backup. Most of us will use it as the main source of info while flying but will hopefully cross check with the steam gauges to ensure we are not being led down an erroneous flight path. =20 All we need now is for Chelton to carry on the cooperative efforts with Pinpoint that were initiated by D2, and we'll all be happy campers - er, flyers. Based on the Chelton history and reputation I cannot expect anything less.=20 Robert M. Simon ES-P N301ES
