I have not confirmed the current draw but for this discussion lets say each boot pulls 5 amps at 24 volts. So if all 4 blades were on and working, the total current draw would be 20 amps. I would like to obtain an electronic device that would measure the current draw and trigger a warning light and thus a voice warning in my Master Warning System Display if the de-ice switch was on and the current draw was less than 18 amps. The goal is to prevent one blade from tuning into a frozen stump and causing a big prop imbalance. Please help this electronically challenged mechanical engineer.
