Kevin,

It did not seem mean spitited to me.  Have you ever laughed at a buddy's
black eye?  Does not mean that we do not "feel his pain".  Most of us
tend to make light of serious situations.  It's a guy thing. No malice
is intended and none taken.  
I'm certain that Columbia already knows how to install the systems
correctly and will refit the fleet as required.  And they will continue
to be the best standard certificated aircraft flying.
