I keep a lower pressure in the nose tire, about 40 psi +/-. I was told early on that a lower pressure would help reduce the chance of nose tire shimmy. But there is a fine line there also. I landed with a flat nose tire several years ago. Again, there was a tiny hole in the tube sidewall caused by underinflation. At that time I was keeping 30 to 35 psi in the nose tire.
