Kevin, Aside from the Legacy molds, plans and construction manual, remember that the horizontal stabilizer is an upside-down wing that must exert a down force (nose up) against the nose down pitching moment of the main wing (even though it is providing lift - nothing is free). Anyway, would you build a wing without camber? Should the top side be relatively flat? What does the bottom of the main wing look like? On my wee Lancair, the elevator tapers on both sides. I think of down elevator as reflexing the upside-down wing to reduce drag. Of course, there are many that believe my thinking on any subject to be suspect. I must leave now as the white coated squad is coming to administer a higher dose of anti-ADD meds and some hallucinatory suppressants with an interesting mix of mood-altering serenity-inducing herbal supplements.
