Several of the ES guys have sent their struts back to Lancair to be rebuilt and have some minor modifications done.  The ES is especially prone to shimmy due to the additional mass of the wheel pant.

 

One ES has suffered an nose wheel collapse due to shimmy and the unscrewing of the flange.
