Now I am using WX Weather in a Garmin 396. My question is why would anyone even consider using anything other then WX Weather? The only thing that I can figure is: they have not seen and/or used the WX Weather. It is 500 times superior to the other equipment. I wouldn't waste my time on installing anything else. For backup, if I felt it necessary, I would install a second WX Weather system. In the last few months, I have picked my way (accurately) through 2 squall lines that have run 700 to 800 miles from the SW to the NE along the Smoky mountains while traveling from Detroit to SE North Carolina. To be able to see a hole in the line and get to it from hundreds of miles away, is not possible with either radar or strikefinders. > From: "Mike Smith" > . > . > I tried grounding planes and basically gave up realizing what I was > dealing > with, particularly with the advent of XM weather. > > Michael Smith > >> "I know for a fact that a strikefinder has been made to work and I >> think at >> least one wx500 has been made to work......." >> -- Lorn H.
