Three years running I have flown my Legacy over Ripon at 135kts and 2300 feet per the NOTAM then at Fisk told to slow it down and get down to 1800 feet, stay in trail, no passing or flying side by side. It just doesn't work. I have tried to comply with the instructions of the controllers. One time I was behind a Cessna 140 with his flaps down and another over running a piper cub. Only one time did I not have a problem because there weren't any airplanes in front of me. After my first year flying the Legacy to Oshkosh I contacted EAA. They gave me the phone number of an individual who works each year with the FAA in developing the arrivals for the next years event. After explaining my problem, I was told, "that should not be happening." He convinced me to try it again next year, but guess what, it was a repeat. The only answer for me is to arrive before the event begins so I can call the tower and make a normal approach. If you had to take evasive action at 90 kts, the outcome probably will not be pleasant.
