Listers,

My Strike finder works great on my IV.  The only caveat is there is a
consistent spread from the 10 o'clock to 4 o'clock position that appears in
high density areas where there is continual TCAS pinging.  It mirrors the
inverse position of the transponder antenna to the strike finder. The
aberrancy completely goes away with the transponder on standby or in low
density traffic areas.  I have XM Nexrad, so if there is any serious
weather, I turn it to standby with ATC blessing and the slaving picture
works great and agrees entirely with the strike history on the nexrad.

I tried grounding planes and basically gave up realizing what I was dealing
with, particularly with the advent of XM weather.
