I came home from the Lancair workshop with 2 gallons of WLS in my Ryder truck. That was gone before I finished the top of the wings on the ES! Even though WLS is cheaper than some PPG products, by the time you pay shipping it comes out about even. And you really don't want to buy several gallons of WLS when you pick up your kit. It has a fairly short shelf life. By the time you need it, it will likely be out of date. The product from PPG that I liked best was DPHS52 and the corresponding hardener DPHS521. DPHS52 is an epoxy like WLS, while most other products are urethane. The SX1060 looks good too. PPG has at least 25 primer surfacers. My painter uses PPG, so I stuck to PPG products for my prep work. My painter also purchased products for me so I could get his discount, saved me some money.
