Although I didn't take it, the pressure was probably about 40 lbs. From now on, I will be using 50 lbs pressure in the mains and 40 lbs in the nose. I replaced the passenger side tire with a standard Lamb tire (Cheng-Shin). I have ordered 2 new Aero Classic Aircraft Tires and tubes. The tires were $30 each. Aero Classics can be purchased at: http://www.desser.com/tires.html. I have ordered and may or may not try the "Anti Tube Pincher Poly Sleeve" from Lancair. You can find the sleeves under the Landing Gear category at: http://www.aerocraftparts.com/. This should be a good comparison between the Lamb and Aero Classic tires. The Lamb is on the passenger side which always weighs less than the pilot side. I will be putting the Aero Classic on the pilot side. The flat was caused by a small hole in the side of the tube. The hole looked like the point of a knife had been stuck in the side of the tube. This hole was not caused by any problem with the tire. Tire pressure may have been the cause of the problem. My last flat, about 2 years ago, looked exactly the same. -- Lorn H. 'Feathers' Olsen, MAA, DynaComm, Corp. 248-345-0500, mailto:lorn@dynacomm.ws LNC2, O-320-D1F, 1,200 hrs, N31161, Y47, SE Michigan
