Currently there are 15 of his kits being installed. They are of the highest quality. His system would integrate downstream from existing hydraulic pumps. I was talking with him about the possibility of adapting them to work with the Legacy and Lancair IV aircraft and he is most interested. He asked me to make a posting to the LML and see if there is any interest. His Hydraulic Sequencing Control Unit would provide the following: 1. Electronic computer controlled manifold valves that control landing gear extension/retraction and door sequencing. 2. Development of landing gear inner doors that are sequenced and controlled by the same electronic manifold valve 3. Electronic controlled spool cartridge valves for hydraulic fluid direction control 4. All hydraulic actuators 5. All mounting plates, wiring harness, and hardware 6. Detailed installation instructions 7. Circuit protected logic boards including static electricity protection 8. Processor Code is Watch Dog protected This is the system for the S-51 Mustang. If there is interest for the Legacy / IV aircraft then he would begin an adaptation program. Currently the price for the S-51 is $3875.00. It seems there has been much discussion on the LML about hydraulic problems encountered in the Legacy systems. Perhaps solutions could be incorporated into the retrofit program of Jan's system. Jan Fronk of Highridge Design, = Provo, = Utah is an engineer who has developed a beautiful hydraulic system that controls = the extension/retraction of landing gears and gear doors for the Stewart = S-51 Mustang Replica.  Currently = there are 15 of his kits being installed.  They are of the highest quality.  His system would integrate downstream from existing hydraulic = pumps.

I was talking with him about the possibility of = adapting them to work with the Legacy and Lancair IV aircraft and he is most = interested.  He asked me to make a = posting to the LML and see if there is any interest.

His Hydraulic Sequencing Control Unit would provide = the following:

  1. Electronic computer controlled manifold valves that control landing gear extension/retraction and door = sequencing.
  2. Development of landing gear inner doors that are sequenced and controlled by = the same electronic manifold valve
  3. Electronic controlled spool cartridge valves for hydraulic fluid direction = control
  4. All hydraulic actuators
  5. All mounting plates, wiring harness, and = hardware
  6. Detailed installation instructions
  7. Circuit protected logic boards including static electricity = protection
  8. Processor Code is Watch Dog protected

This is the system for the S-51 Mustang.  If there is interest for the = Legacy / IV aircraft then he would begin an adaptation program.  Currently the price for the = S-51 is $3875.00.

It seems there has been much discussion on the LML = about hydraulic problems encountered in the Legacy systems.  Perhaps solutions could be = incorporated into the retrofit program of Jan’s = system.
