If there is any question in your mind about whether of not to hang  
the antennas outside, then what you want to do is build an RV. RV's  
are great airplanes. They are just not as fast as the Lancair. Not  
having antennas hanging out is one of the reasons the Lancair is so  
fast. If you don't want to go this fast, buy a plane that lands  
slower and is therefore safer. If you hang everything out on the  
Lancair, you will be taking off and landing at 95 kts and flying at  
125. Build a plane that lands at 50 kts.
