That is a great picture Jim Hergert.

For those sanding and dreaming I can say that I and my bride flew my Lancair
320 from Greensboro, GA (3J7) to Manassas, VA in 2.2 hrs.  We babysat three
grandbabies for six days then flew home in 2.3 hrs.  If we had driven (Ugh) it
would have been two days and ten hours each way.

It took me six years to build my airplane but it was well worth it.  With
children and grandchildren spread from California to Colorado to Virginia,
this little airplane is a wonderful machine.  Additionally, I cannot afford a
P-51 so this is as close as I will get.  It is great looking and at fuel stops
I always get admiring folks with questions.  My wife has to promp me to cut it
off and get manned up.  I am extremely proud of my accomplishment.

The point is, keep working, keep your spirits up and look forward to the
flying days.  It is a great way to travel.
