Mark & Gary -
It can be done, but it will require a lot of thought and a few odd tools like a long pair of forceps. Our pressure chamber is reachable from a rather large hole in the outboard rib of the right wing. We probably could have made that hole a bit larger, but did not need to do it. A larger hole would make it easier.
We did ours with the wing open and had the luxury of coring out the areas on the top and bottom skins where the chamber seats on the insides of the wing.
I have a bunch of annotated pictures of the installation on our album on the LML. Check them out and let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers,

PS: Gary - if you could make a hole large enough to get your hand comfortably through the lower wing skin, you could make an access panel out of it and I think it would not be a tructural problem that far out on the wing. Yes, the sport is very adequate. The other model is a bit larger for the display, obviously configured a bit differently and tells you about the gear not being down. Unless there is some better gee whiz stuff in the computer and your gear is retractable, it is hardly worth the 75% delta in the cost.
