I have tried at length to get a stormscope to work on the LIV and
gave up, the strikefinder does work. Maybe the reason is that the data from
the antenna is digital in the strikefinder. I have skin mapped for both units
and there are no really good spots on the LIV. The tip of the horizontal
stabs are fairly quiet. I ended up mounting just aft of the landing gear doors
on the belly.
PS I prefer the stormscope display but the strike finder works and that is
what is really important. I would like the strikefinder better if the strikes
stayed on the display longer. They disappear rather quickly.

Now can anybody tell me how to make the xxxxx Stormscope work? I get random indications continuously. Does anyone have a checklist that they used to troubleshoot the Stormscope? Any help would be appreciated.
