I was careful enough for 800 hours or so but then one day I went over a dip like a frost heave that I couldn't even see. Now I have a modified prop of 70". A spacer will interfere with the dampening of the strut and is not recommended. You can keep the tire and strut well inflated. If you have to taxi on grass, it helps to hold full nose up elevator.
