Terrance, and others,

I have the ppavionics fuel controller.  It works fine.  = It is the=20 simplest system to use.  Turn it on, it turns itself off or you can = manually turn it off.  There is no complicated extra wiring, = switches,=20 lights, fuels hoses, check valves, floats, fuel valves,=20 etc. associated with one-off designs.  It does sense when the = wing=20 tanks are dry and shut off and shows a blinking yellow light.  = Green lights=20 are lit when the pumps are running.

A word of caution.  The wing tank Facet pumps need to be = in good=20 condition for the controller to sense the freq. change.  I had old = pumps=20 and the controller would not turn off at dry tanks.  I replaced the = 2 pumps=20 with new ones and the controller worked fine.  Ppavionics wanted my = old=20 pumps to dissect them to determine the exact reason for their failure to = work in conjunction with the controller.  So, I sent them to=20 them.  Never heard a word back about it, even after a subsequent = e-mail and=20 phone call.

Also the LED indicator lights are difficult to see in direct=20 sunlight.  I removed the diffusers behind the lighted buttons = and that=20 made it better.  But don't lose the "L" or the "R" behind the = lighted=20 buttons when you put it back together like I did (lost the "R").  I = asked=20 them for another.  Never got one.  Now I am flying around with = no "R".  But that is better than flying around with no = "L"...or=20 whatever her name is.

Also, as Bob mentioned, there are differences between the Facet = pumps, so=20 make sure you get the correct one.  Look at the numbers on your = existing=20 pumps.  One of the Facet pumps is special use and has check valves = in it=20 for use in wing tip or auxiliary tanks.
