I remember it being a wrestling match, warm weather helps.  I drew a line where the tubing would go then superglued it along the line.  Then the micro, then the layups.  You can't make it straight on the pilot side due to the rear access panel.  My experience is you can have larger radius bends and not create any detectable friction with the cable.
