I installed my housing and cable just recently and
found the same issue, the housing had been coiled up in a tight wrap for
years. What I found that worked well was establishing the route that I was
going to use and drilling the holes in bulkheads as required for a nice straight
run. I then ran the housing, stretched it fairly tight, and spot glued it
into place. I then left it for several weeks while I worked on other
projects. When I came back to permanently affix the cable to the fuselage
with my one bids, it laid straight without any problem.
Hope this helps.
