For all of you old farts out there that woke up one morning, opened your eyes, and you felt a little dizzy and the ceiling light was moving around. In some cases, you may have rolled on to your side and immediately felt very sick or even heaved! You probably felt a little dizzy that day and maybe several more, and every time you moved your head things started moving around. After a few days you were fine, so there was no reason to go to a doctor, and since it passed and hadn't returned, there was no reason to tell the AME, right? Well, if it isn't a brain tumor, and about 99% of the time it isn't, what you experienced is "ear rocks", little pieces of calcium that have come loose inside your ear canal and are floating around in the fluid. If you did go to the doc, he probably stopped you part way through your explanation and completed it for you. There is a cure if it comes back. They'll put you on something and shake the hell out of your head, making you barf a lot. Then when you've stopped barfing after shaking, it means the piece finally got stuck somewhere. Growing old ain't for sissys!
