I
obtained CAD files for the wing and horizontal. I then CNC milled templates for BL 26.25, BL104 and BL171. I leveled the plane and measured my
wings using a machine level accurate to
.0005" per foot or .002 degree. Here are the results for my IV-P wings which were closed in
Redmond.
RH @ BL 26.25 = -1.750 deg
RH @ BL 104 = +0.982 deg
RH @ BL 171 = +1.117
deg
LH @ BL 26.25 = -2.000 deg
LH @ BL 104 = +0.578
deg
LH @ BL 171 = +0.844
deg
I am going to rotate the LH wing .26 deg's giving
the following results:
LH @ BL 26.25 = -1.74 deg
LH @ BL 104 = +.84
deg
LH @ BL 171 = +1.10
deg
I am
somewhat concerned about the discrepancy at BL 104 (0.14 deg after rotation) , but not
much I can do about it. Also,
the washout from BL 26.25 to BL 171 is 2.84 deg vs the 1.94 spec.
Note: I believe the accuracy of the numbers
is better than .01 deg.
