At 2900# on a standard, dry, smooth day at 8000 feet my ES trues at about 192
kts.  I get about 2-3 more with ram air but can't use it on warm days so it is
not currently installed. This would be with WOT and 2500 RPM and 75 ROP.

Anything other than those conditions (heavier, humid, warm, not smooth) I
will see 184-188.  I file 185 on my IFR flight plans and normally have no
problems meeting it at cruise power (WOT and 2400 RPM).  If I go with 50 LOP I
lose about 7 knots and decrease my GPH by about 3.

I have also found that at the heavier weights I am a little faster with
forward CG versus a rearward CG.  I don't know why.  Just more trivia for you
to add to your data.

Also, you should know that I am not near the knowledge level of a lot of
owner/pilot/builders here and do not have explanations for any of the above.
I am relaying data I have gathered over 6+ years of flying Angel's Playmate.

My plane grosses 3400# with empty weight of 2197#.  It stalls full flaps at
57 knots.

Hope this helps with your debate.
