Two points come to mind. 1. Why put yourself in that situation in the
first place. Small single engine airplanes have no business in icing
conditions. Some would include "in the clouds". 2. How about looking at
the attitude indicator. I would not even consider flying in the clouds in a
single engine without a back-up attitude indicator.
