Hi everyone,
I have received numerous requests to come up with a way to make
model-specific postings stand out so people can choose which posts they
would like to concentrate on. As there is no way for me to assign subjects
to individual postings it is incumbent on you, the person sending in the
original post, to include a model designator in the subject heading. I
have added a note to this effect into the List Posting Guidelines and have
recommended that we use the FAA designators to 'aim' our posts at the
segment of the readership we would like to reach. Here is a reprint of
that new Guideline item:
>>>
Posts which are specific to a particular Lancair model should include the
FAA designator in the subject, LNC2 for the two-seaters, LNCE for Lancair
ES, and LNC4 for the IV and IV-P. Posts which are not model specific that
cover topics which are applicable to all models should not include a model
designator... this includes but is not limited to subjects such as paint
and finishing, avionics, instruments, electrical systems, general composite
assembly, inspections, test flying, aeronautics, etc.
<<<
Please remember, all Lancairs belong to a very similar family of aircraft,
and many topics which may appear to be model specific may, in fact, apply
in some way or another to your project as well. For this reason I highly
recommend that we pay attention to all submissions, as there is always
something new out there to be learned.
Thanks for your time and keep those posts coming!
