I finished my gear wells with the same paint I used on the exterior - PPG
Durathane.
It wasn't really that much of a problem. I primed (with a brush, I think),
did a minimum amount of sanding and filling with polyester glazing
compound, then sprayed the Durathane with an airbrush. Visibility was
impossible back in the aft areas, so I used the point and shoot technique.
I got a few drips and runs, but it came out pretty darn good looking, and
easy to clean up.
