Many highway patrol cars have electronic flashers. I found mine by
looking under the hood of a patrol car and copying the Mfg.'s address.
It cost $33, is good for 350 watts per side, weighs about 5 oz and is in
a heavy finned Al extrusion. It was made in OR. I'm doing an annual so
can copy the address if any one wants it. They do use much more current
than a strobe because they are 100% duty cycle. Mine with 150 watt
Halogen off road bulbs pulls ten amps.
