Sorry for borrowing from the AE list, but this just popped up and I fell in
love... :). (last link)
Figured, others that don't subscribe to the AE list may want the same down
the road.
These are the same connectors that Cessna uses on the newer airplanes. My
G1000 equipped 182 has em and I really like them. Now I know where to get
them... Not cheap, but probably worth it.

the wire sleeved to one side of the connector on the instrument side, then
the other side of the plug-in-connector to the extension wire to the
firewall, on the other.
