It seems the factory 360 had this happen the week before OSH at around 1500 hours of flight and untold number of good, or bad landings as it was also the trainer. Being that I am one one of those souls with pretty white gear wells with a good layer of clearcoat I find this a bit unsettling. Have all the failures been on fastbuild or slow kits ? I question the differences between build procedures and maybe even different revisions in the manual. How many birds out there attached these blocks with 2216 and flox or hysol and flox ? Do we really know if the fastbuild kits are maybe done with epoxy and flox as that might be a bit more brittle ? I remember a group of non - us planes in past postings that had this problem, maybe they can shed some more light on this. The factory didn't even seem to know about those failures ! I think it might be hard to tell if the weaker early GM-4 brackets with lightening holes cracked first and caused the delamination or the other way around. Lets see if we can compile some more info and get the whole story out there.
