Whats this with two oil coolers? I mounted a single SW8406R on the
firewall low on the pilot's side. Air comes in thru a NACA duct on the
lower cowl, turns parallel to the firewall and flows through the cooler,
using a short piece of scat and a fiberglass adapter that I made. The air
comes out of the cooler just to the left of the tunnel and makes its way out
the bottom unaided. I never see oil temps above 205, and in the winter I
partly close of the NACA duct to keep temp above 180.
The attached picture is looking in to the scat tubing which mates with a
flange on the NACA duct.
