I have complained for some time about the looseness of the over-center  link
where it is joined to the nose gear strut tabs on my Lancair  320.  The bolt
on the left was removed recently and the main  shaft diameter is .246" while
at
the worn area adjacent to the threads it is  only .223".  A very slight wear
area can be seen one washer  thickness from the head.  The seriously worn
area
is within the rolled  thread area and where the shank is first necked down to
the threads when  compared to a new bolt on the right.  Oops.

I suggest that such a bolt is replaced with a longer one and a washer or two
is added before the castle nut so that the solid shaft is presented as a
bearing surface for the strut tabs.
