On the subject of window coatings:

has anyone used a hole perforated, sticky backed sheet as a screen to paint
the window with dots to block some of the sunlight? I have seen it (in
reverse) on car windows. It was easy to see through and it really took the
edge off the direct light. I was thinking of doing that with the top of my
canopy.
