I had my plane grounded for an extended period to prepare for paint and work on the interior. I was able to convert my in flight policy to a not in motion policy and save a bunch of money. I have AIG and they only allow two changes per year, but that's what I had. Check with your insurance company if you know you won't be flying for a couple months or more.
