Before you go to all the trouble of getting all the flammable gas or
cleaner out of your wing. McMaster Carr has what they call an Air powered
vacuum gun. You hook it up to your compressor and it blows air through a
venture to create a vacuum. They have a bunch of them on page 1562 of
catalog 104. I use their part number 7491T11 in my shop, it is the neatest
one I think. They cost $84.51. It is a good tool for cleaning up flammable
solvent soaked gunk. It pulls a very strong vacuum it is rated at 93.15" of
water (strange unit of measure) at 100psi in. That converts to 3.4psi or
6.8 inHg of vacuum. You can adjust your air pressure down to get the lower
vacuum you need to vacuum your wing, and it will regulate at that setting,
and you don't need to worry about sparks.

McMaster Carr. (562) 692-5911
