I'll definitely be taking more care with max sustained cyl temps over 380 deg f.
(The only time I've ever done that was while racing in the Airventure Cup anyway - that's racing)
 
Yes Scott,  the JPI graphs are the ticket.
The lines shown in your post are too cluttered to get good numbers.  The time scale needs to be expanded so more exact rate data can be picked off.
The engine start part of the graph does show more gradual temp changes -- no shock there.
It's hard to know what caused the "spikes" in the sample.
