I have a 235 with an O-235. I have the 11-12 gallon header tank and = 16-17 gallon wing tanks feeding it through Facet pumps, and think that = is the way to go for fuel management. It's very comforting to look at = that sight gauge on the panel and see exactly how much fuel I have left. = I manage my fuel by means of a timer. I start with 10-11 gal in the = header, set the timer to 20-25 minutes, and when the alarm goes off I'm = down to 8 gallons. At that point I set the timer to 5 minutes, turn on = the two wing-tank fuel pumps, and when the alarm sounds, I'm back at 10 = gallons. I usually plan 6 gal/hr plus 2 gallons and put that amount in = my wings for a trip. I like having the wing tanks just out of fuel when = I reach my destination and 8-10 gallons in the header.
