Before John Deacon quit writing his "Pelican's Perch" articles for Avweb (Avweb's never been the same since) one of his articles was on this subject. He said the source of this OWT was indeed the big radials, but in the crankshaft lubrication rather than the gearing.. I found it very interesting reading. www.avweb.com/news/columns/186778-1.html
