The cowls are made in vacuum bagged molds.  I saw them out in Redmond.  I'm not sure of the glass or resin used.  I didn't think any of the cowls were gel coated, that's news to me. None of my pieces were gel coated when I received my kit in June ;02  My cowl didn't have that greenish look to it, like my wheel pants did, or my wing root fairings.  They looked more like the fuselage.
