To get the new seats you have to be on a list which we are . The last word
from Lancair was the seat was a month away , that was 4+ months back . I
also asked if the rails would be the same distance apart and the answer was
no . The response from Joe Barttel was it would only take a day to knock out
the old mounts and replace them with new rear mounts Since they were still
in design I suggested a design that would be the same width but I think that
went to deaf ears -to easy . So if you get the new seats don't be surprised
if they wont fit on the original rail area Still I'll be hopeful and
optimistic that they designed the width the same as the old seats or the
seat kit comes with the molded rear rail brackets they supply in the new
planes . I took several pic's of the proto type seat and got Lance to boot
