Jim -- if the NASA video is of
the Northcoast system it was carried out in a
icing test cell environment
many years ago.
Jack, It is not the
Northcoast System, it is the Electro Expulsive system. Which is a pulsed leading
edge that moves out about .020 and breaks the Ice. It does this by pulsing
sections, one on each wing, in sequence. This uses discharge pulses so it can
run using a normal alternator. I'm not an expert, so call Mike at 541-330-5817
