Angier,
I am using a single hardware store clamp to hold my tailpipes together. The clamp is about 4" in diameter. Before I put the clamp on the pipes, I wrapped them with exhaust tape. You can see the tape at:
http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/eppages/genIIcopperwrap.php
I used the tape just to get some cushion between the pipes and between the clamp and the pipes. My pipes are ceramic coated. I have no other mounting bracket on the exhaust. After more than 1,100 hours the pipes are still going strong.
I wish that I had exhaust pipe extensions. I had to put a stainless plate on the fuselage to stop the paint from burning.

Any of you out there got some pics showing how you supported the two tailpipes?
Angier,
Are you using a 360? My 320 has no supports on the exhaust system - however, the tail pipes are clamped together with a SS band.
