I have tried several types of batteries th;rough
the years in both my pitts and lancair. The B&C is far and above the
superior product both in longevity and resiliance. I currently use two
116's in my dual electric system Legacy and ;have no trouble spinning
a 10:1 compression IO-540 Lyc. This engine is hard to hot start and I
have strained these batteries to their limit. Only once did I depleat them. I
learned they are hard to recharge and after calling their technical support
learned that is necessary to "bump them "with a 24volt charger to get the
process started and then shift to a 12 volt charger to quickly bring them
up. I highly recommend this as well as the B&C starter and back up
alternator and also the regulators. Don Karich
