When, (if), your exhaust cracks and is in need of repair or modification it is virtually unweldable. The ceramic gets so deep into the material that it continuously bubbles out contaminants into the new weld. On the two occasions I've needed post ceramic welding it presented my welder buddies opportunities to try new vigorously negative discriptions of my choice to use ceramics.
