Searched high and low in auto shops around Atlanta for the Dri Wash and Guard can you use, but no one had heard of it. Went online and eventually found the manufacturer, seems like an outfit which sells over the ‘net. Wrote an email to them from Boston but never heard a word from the, so have arrived back without the stuff.

I think you said the gap seal is a product for gliders, so I will contact the Gliding Federation today and see if they can tell me where to get the stuff.

What is the type of adhesive material you used to stick gap seal on?

My aircraft being light cream in colour, I would try to match it.

I used ProfileBand 30 mm for horizontal surfaces and 38 mm for the rudder.  There is a strip about 1/2 inch wide of adhesive on the tape - just make sure the surface is clean.  Also, TESA safety tape is applied overlapping the forward edge of the tape so water/air cannot get under it.  The TESA tape is white.  The gap seals are place on both the top and bottom joints.
