The Dukes aux fuel pump in my LNC2 has died.  $450 to overhaul, $600 to replace.  Any reason I can't replace it with a good quality automotive pump?  Holley and Carter both make rotary pumps that produce similar flow and pressure to the Dukes (42 gph @ 16 psi).  Anyone know if the automotive pumps are flow-through, as in when they are off, the mechanical pump can pull fuel through the electric pump?
