This probably sounds silly, but at my annual this year I
blew into the oil line from engine to oil cooler (yes, that is I put mouth to
line and blew) and had the out line in a container. I could blow through
the line/cooler, blow out the residual oil and the result was a free flow
of air. Seems to me that that means the oil should flow through the thing
without restrictions. I have roughly 1200 hours on the engine
configuration.
