I had a case where the fuel line to the left tank was dry (calibrating the left tank), filled the left tank to go fly. After takeoff and flying on the right tank, switched to the left and the engine got very quite. Turned the fuel pump on and the engine started immediatly. Using your procedure, I did not have the problem when calibrating the right tank and it is now part of my check list.
