This is his response. From: Charles Brietigam Hey Jim, I was leaving Mather (Sacramento) last Thursday evening when I was shown the B757 that eat the goose. It was parked on the ramp next to the jet I was flying back to Louisville. The mishap crew were flying at FL360 when they were rudely intercepted by the goose. Actually, the goose was already dead when he ran into the UPS jet. There was an area of strong updrafts over the Rockies that pushed the goose to "new highs." After the goose lost it's breathe and was frozen, the air currents shot it up to the planes attitude. The good thing is--the jet was a Boeing!! There's nothing better than a Boeing jet!! All that was done to the jet was the outer glass panel of the First Officer's windscreen was cracked!! That's an easy repair. I can only imagine what would have happened if the plane was an Airbus!! Anyway, that's the story!! Give Sue a big hug from us!! RV's forever!! Chuck
